Tendulkar felicitated

NEW DELHI: Sachin Tendulkar was on Wednesday felicitated by the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) for becoming the highest run-scorer in Test cricket.

Before the start of the third Test against Australia at the Ferozeshah Kotla here, Delhi Ranji captain Virender Sehwag and DDCA President Arun Jaitley presented Tendulkar with a pair of shoes at a felicitation ceremony.

Tendulkar surpassed Brian Lara’s World record of 11,953 runs to become the highest run-getter in the world during the second Test at Mohali.

In the same match, he also became the first batsman to score 12,000 runs. — Sports Reporter
