Thrissur: A sum of Rs.63 lakh has been given to the Agriculture Department for distributing financial assistance at the rain-hit areas in the district. An amount of Rs.50 lakh would be distributed to the affected farmers. A total sum of Rs.7.5 lakh has been allotted for repairing the damaged houses in Kodungallur and Thalappilly, Mukundapuram and Thrissur taluks. —Staff Reporter
