Motorcyclist fatally knocked down

TIRUCHI: A motorcycle rider was fatally knocked down by a speeding unknown vehicle on the Tiruchi – Thanjavur national highway at Tiruverambur on Thursday. Police identified the deceased as D. Balakrishnan (23), who was employed in the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. Police sources said Balakrishnan was proceeding for work in the morning when an unknown vehicle hit him from behind and sped away killing him on the spot. The Tiruverambur police have registered a case.
