Tuticorin Corporation to get more employees

Tuticorin: R. Kasthuri Thangam, Mayor, convened a special Corporation meeting here on Thursday with main focus on the issue of recruitment of staff for the urban body.

The existing strength of the Tuticorin Corporation at present is 542 staff and there is a shortage of 861 employees.

A request to fill up the vacancies was placed before the Mayor which was sanctioned.

K.V.K. Swami, Councillor of ward 11, demanded to carry out repair of damaged roads in the rain-hit areas.

K.T. Anbulingam, an AIADMK member the difficulties of repair works of motor pumps, Shenbagaselvan, an Independent councillor of ward seven, sought urgent steps to end the mosquito menace.
