Hindu forums to launch agitation

Staff Reporter

MALAPPURAM: Various Hindu organisations and the Tali Temple Agitation Council will jointly take up cudgels against the State government against the latter’s alleged aggressions into the governance of temples and Hindu cultural bodies.

The agitation will be launched at Angadipuram in the district on Sunday.

Swami Chidananda Puri, head of Advaitha Ashram at Kolathur, will inaugurate the agitation.

The protestors will light ‘lamps of protection’ and take a mass pledge to protect the temples and cultural bodies from external aggressions at the cost of their lives.

K.P. Sasikala, State president of the Hindu Aikya Vedi, will deliver the keynote address. N.M. Kadamban Namboothiripad, State president of the Kerala Kshetra Samrakshana Samiti, will preside over the function.
