Prasad’s statement

This refers to the current situation in Maharashtra and the statement made by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on suspending train services (October 30) in the States which are not providing adequate security to trains and passengers. The statement is immature. Has the Minister forgotten that passenger safety is the responsibility of both the State and Central governments? What is the Railway Protection Force meant for?
