Held in swindling case

Nedumbassery: The Nedumbassery police on Sunday arrested a person on charges of swindling Rs.8.75 crore. The police said Amanulla Khan was arrested from his house in Pathanapuram as per the directions of the Aluva First Class Judicial Magistrate, based on a private suit filed by Khan’s relative. The complaint had mentioned the possibility of Khan arriving at the Cochin airport from Oman. It turned out that he had already arrived in the State, the police said. He will be produced before the court on Monday, the police said.
