MADURAI: The Democratic Forward Bloc (DFB) has demanded a judicial probe into the alleged attack on the convoy of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at Pasumpon on October 30. In a press release, DFB general secretary S.Veluchamy said here on Sunday that Ms Jayalalithaa had come to participate in the guru pooja celebrations of Muthuramalinga Thevar accompanied by her party functionaries. The police should have accorded adequate security and ensured that no untoward incident occurred. The stone pelting incident on the convoy of a former CM had come as a rude shock to many people in the State. A judicial inquiry by a retired judge should be ordered into the incident, the release said.
