Youth rescued
The JJ Nagar police have rescued a 20-year-old engineering student, a native of Jharkhand, who was allegedly kidnapped by two youths.
The student, identified as Maura, was kidnapped by the youths whom he owed money. Police arrested one of them, Krishna (20), who was in the city looking for college admission. His brother Ganesh (23), who is studying in another engineering college in the city, is absconding.
The victim, who is a resident of Mogappair, had been kept captive at the duo’s room in Nerkundram. Police took action, after a complaint from the boy’s father.
