HYDERABAD: The passports of 391 Haj pilgrims of the State were received from the Central Haj Committee, after visa endorsement from the Royal Saudi Consulate, Mumbai, according to Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Minister for Energy, Coal and Minority Welfare on Sunday. He visited the Haj camp and spoke to the pilgrims who stayed back owing to non-receipt of passports.
The Minister ordered the Haj Committee officials to send an officer to Mumbai to bring the passports to Hyderabad so that the pilgrims could be sent at the earliest. So far 1,260 pilgrims have left in five flights and reached Madina-al-Munnawara safely, he said.
