Those who participated in the demonstration removed their shirts, raised slogans and then burnt a few copies of the newspaper, police said. BJP State president Bandaru Dattatreya in a statement condemned the incident and said it was not good to violate the freedom of press.
Meanwhile, TDPP leader K. Yerran Naidu also condemned the incident and said it was an attack on press freedom. CPI (M) State Secretariat member Y.V. Rao visited the newspaper office. He condemned the act of burning copies of the newspaper by YC workers.
