Peni Kangas Thiruvananthapuram: A member of the Royal family of Bulgaria and international businesswoman Peni Kangas visited the Santhigiri Ashram at Pothencode, near here, on Sunday. Dr. Kangas, a doctor in alternative medicine and head of eight international companies, spent the entire day at the ashram, interacting with those staying there and visiting the Santhigiri Siddha Medical College Hospital. She described the experience as ‘spiritually energising.’ “I have visited many ashrams but this one will remain my favourite. Peace, happiness and bliss seem to emanate from this place and the people who live here,” Dr. Kangas said. Dr. Kangas is well-versed in Indian theological philosophy, including the Vedas, Upanishads and Bhagwad Gita. Settled in Miami, the U.S., she is the president of Beta Corporate Services. She also heads several other companies.
