Hindu Munnani activists stage demonstration

Staff Reporter

Tirupur: Members of Hindu Munnani staged a demonstration in front of the Corporation office here on Monday, to press their charter of demands. The agitators protested the recent demolition of two temples situated at Kulathupalayam and Kumar Nagar by Public Works Department and Highways Department, respectively, to initiate development works.

They alleged that the authorities were targeting Hindus and their places of worships with a “hidden agenda”.

They demanded the arrest of two persons who had attempted to convert residents of Thilagar Nagar.
