THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Government of Kerala has decided to institute the Kerala State e-governance Awards in a bid to motivate government employees who are active in the implementation of e-governance initiatives. The awards, for projects and individuals, will be in the following categories: on-line services and e-filing, best website, e-payment services, digital file-flow system, m-governance, Service and Payroll Administrative Repository for Kerala (SPARK) implementation, local language content development and utilisation of Akshaya Centres. The entries will be judged by an eminent jury. Institute of Management in Government Associate Fellow Ashok S. is the Nodal Officer of the programme. The entry forms and details are available on www.keralaitmission.org and www.imgkerala.org. The last date for receiving entries is December 1. A press release issued here on Monday said that the government recognized that the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in government was inevitable to sustain a leadership position.
