The PR agency of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) clarifies that there were
typographical errors committed by them in an item in "Snippets"
("Business/Markets" page, November 4, 2008), titled "Dalmia Cement (Bharat)
PAT at Rs. 40 crore". It should have said: "Net sales of Dalmia Cement
(Bharat) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2008, increased by 27
per cent to Rs. 449 crore from Rs. 355 crore [and not Rs. 44.92 crore from
Rs. 35.46 crore, as published] in the comparable period in the previous
year. Total income was up 25 per cent at Rs. 455 crore against Rs. 364 crore
[and not Rs. 45.48 crore against Rs. 36.40 crore, as published]. The net
profit for the quarter under review stood at Rs. 40.19 crore, according to a
release."
