The power station is contributing immensely to the industrial growth.

TALCHER: NTPC Executives’ Association, Talcher has congratulated the entire workforce of Talcher Thermal Power Station for achieving the record generation of 337 million units and 98.73 per cent plant load factor in October overcoming the coal crisis. The plant has achieved the highest daily PLF of 101.74 per cent on October 29, which is the highest since inception of the thermal station.

“This achievement is an instance of Team NTPC’s operational excellence as the 41-year-old plant. The robust figures are remarkable in comparison to the performance it had before the takeover by NTPC in 1995,” P.K. Singh, president and S.P. Sarker, secretary of the association, said in a release.

The power station, a 460-mw coal-based plant, is contributing immensely to the acceleration of industrial growth of the Orissa for past few decades. The station is also in the forefront in taking up community outreach programmes.
