Leaders of all parties extend support Resolution already adopted by TTD Trust Board TIRUPATI. With there being no response from the management to their prolonged agitation demanding regularisation of their services, the Contract Lecturers working in the TTD-run educational institutions here on Monday intensified their agitation by resorting to relay-fast. The agitation received a boost with leaders of all the political parties, including the ruling party legislator M. Venkatramana visiting their camp and expressing their solidarity with their stir. All leaders were unanimous in their opinion that the management should have no difficulty in conceding the demand of the contract lecturers, as the TTD Trust Board had already adopted a resolution to this end more than eight months ago. ‘End stalemate’Leaders said it would only be fair on the part of the TTD to end the stalemate without any delay lest the situation would deteriorate. They also criticized the ‘scant respect’ the TTD authorities had for the Trust Board, the supreme policy making body of the organisation. Besides the MLA and the local Congress activist P. Naveen Kumar Reddy, others who visited the hunger-strike camp were K. Murali (CPI-M), S. Jayachandra Reddy (PRP) and office-bearers of the TTD Employees Union, Nagarjuna Naidu and Mohan Reddy.
