Warn Sri Lanka against firing on fishermen: PMK
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi should not remain content with mobilising relief materials for Sri Lankan Tamils, but should urge the Centre to at least protect the lives of fishermen of Tamil Nadu, Pattali Makkal Katchi founder S. Ramadoss said on Monday.
Responding to Mr.Karunanidhi’s statement, the PMK founder said his party was not for the country to intervene militarily. A large number of the fishermen of the State were attacked. “Does the Indian government not have the authority to issue a warning that it would not remain a mute spectator even if one fisherman is killed,” he asked.
