Farmers climb tower, threaten suicide

SANGAREDDY: Alleging that their crop was lost in 50 acres due to the pollution emanating from the Piramil Health Care limited, two farmers – Vara Prasad and Mohd Ali- on Monday climbed the cell tower at Digwal village in Kohir mandal near Zaheerabad threatening to commit suicide.

They said that there was no other way for them as the crop was completely damaged due to the pollution.

CI Murali Mohan and Tahasildar Janaiah rushed to the spot and pacified the farmers with a promise to arrest the pollution with in one week.
