DMK Govt. blamed for power crisis

Staff Reporter

GOBICHETTIPALAYAM: Former AIADMK Minister K.A. Sengottaian has blamed the DMK Government for the current power crisis.

Addressing party men at a meeting organised here on Wednesday to protest against the State Government, he said, "The blame for pushing the State into a power crisis lies with the DMK Government." The Government had failed to manage the power situation, he said and added that the crisis had hit the industry and agriculture.

"The unprecedented power crisis has resulted in loss of production in industries, which are not only losing business but also laying-off workers."

He said the power cuts had led to a stagnation in growth in the State.
