This Day That Age
The need for a proper psychological and emotional approach in the field of public co-operation so as to make the initiative come from the people was emphasised by Prime Minister Nehru in his brief address to the reconstituted National Advisory Committee on Public Co-operation of the Planning Commission, which held its first meeting in New Delhi on November 5. The Prime Minister said that he was glad to notice that in the community development programmes, officials were sent to undergo an interesting and remarkable change and develop the qualities needed for eliciting public co-operation. He advised the committee to form groups for the intensive study of the various suggestions that have been made during the discussions.
