Goa rape case accused remanded

PANAJI: Rohit Monserrate, son of Goa Education Minister Atanasio Monserrate, arrested by police in the case of alleged rape of a German minor girl, was remanded to three days police custody by a judicial magistrate’s court at Mapusa in north Goa on Wednesday.

Rohit surrendered before the police on Tuesday and was formally arrested.
