Hosur to Guntur for their Balayya

Special Correspondent

NTR PRANGANAM (GUNTUR): Four hundred youth, all ardent fans of Nandamuri Balakrishna, came all the way from Kotapalle near Hosur in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu just to see their matinee idol make his formal entry into politics and enthuse youth to bring the Telugu Desam Party back to power.

Three of them led their group in donating blood at the NRI Hospitals and NTR Trust Blood Bank kiosk set up at the Yuva Garjana venue. Eighty Sumos brought them from more than 600 km away and their joy knew no bounds as Balayya waved at them while coming on to the dais at the appointed time of 4.35 pm.

One of the fans, T. Venkateswarlu, sipping a cool drink after donating blood expressed joy for having contributed at least something for Balayya. He remembers their group’s visit to Nimmakur for Balayya’s daughter’s marriage reception.

TDP volunteers and party men enthusiastically made a beeline to the blood donation camps on the north and south of the Garjana venue. By 5 pm, 410 of them had donated blood, said Anji Reddy, dean of NRI Hospital.
