SANGAREDDY: CPI (M) MLC Cherupalli Seetaramulu here on Wednesday alleged that supply of Manjira drinking water, which was promised to the people of the region at the time of Indira Gandhi was never met till date. Speaking to reporters here, he said that the successive governments failed to keep the promise they made and the CPI (M) was continuing its fight on the issue relentlessly. It was assured that the Manjira water would be supplied to the district once Hyderabad gets Krishna water. “Though Krishna water is being supplied to Hyderabad, the supply of Manjira water was not begun in the district,” he said Referring to the land struggle waged by the CPI (M) Mr. Seetaramulu alleged that around 2,500 who got pattas from the government were given possession of the land so far. “This is nothing but cheating the people once again,” he said. He also found fault with the government for resuming patta lands from the poor. On the political front, he said that the CPI (M) wishes that all political parties come together to fight against the Congress and BJP. When asked about the possible alliance with the TD, he said that it was not yet decided and it would take some time for a decision.
