Artistes enthral crowds

Staff Reporter

NTR PRANGNAM (GUNTUR): A plethora of cultural programmes encapsulating the rich cultural diversity of Andhra Pradesh kept the crowds engaged throughout the day at the Yuva Garjana. Folk artistes from various parts of the State sent the crowds into raptures with their performances enacted on a separate stage erected just beside the main stage. The performances were beamed live on a giant screen and across LCD digital screens which were set up on the premises.

When popular characters from NTR blockbusters like Alluri Seetarama Raju, Justice Chowdary and Major Chandrakanth were portrayed on stage, the crowds went into a tizzy. Former Guntur MLA and convener of the cultural committee, Challa Venkata Krishna Reddy, coordinated the show. From the traditional Burrakatha to the folk dances of Araku to the present remix dhamakas, the crowd had everything. Playback singer Nagger Babu (Mano) rendered a couple of songs from the popular movies of NTR and Balakrishna. The traditional folk artistes from Srikakulum and Visakhapatnam displayed magical tricks.
