Meet on Telugu
A meeting to celebrate the status of classical language to Telugu was jointly organised by the Telugu and Hindi departments at the conference of Hindi department here. Acharya Kondapalli Sundrsana Raju, Head of the Department of Telugu, presided over the meeting. AP Hindi Academy chairman, Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, who was chief guest, recalled the efforts of all to get classical status to Telugu. It helped boost the honour of Telugus as a people and with it a responsibility also. He gave details of consequential benefits after obtaining the classical status.
