Scheme for Standard VIII private candidates

CHENNAI: The State government has announced a special scheme for private candidates who wanted to appear for examinations to be held in December for Standard VIII. They can submit applications from November 19 to 25 (excluding November 22 and 23).
Those from Chennai are required to send demand drafts for Rs.625 drawn in favour of the Director of Government Examinations, Chennai – 6 obtained from any nationalised bank in the city. Candidates from other places have to pay their fee to the respective treasury office and send the challan along with their application forms.
The fee under the special scheme would be Rs.500 and the examination fee – Rs. 125.
A release issued by Vasanthi Jeevanantham, Director of the Examinations, stated application forms would be available at the zonal deputy directors’ offices in Tirunelveli, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Cuddalore, Vellore and Chennai.
The examinations will be from December 1 to 5.
