Hike students’ food allowance: CPI (M)

CHENNAI: CPI (M) State Secretary N. Varadarajan urged the State government to increase the food allowance given to the students staying in government hostels.

Though the government had announced in the Assembly that it would increase the allowance by Rs.50, it had not been implemented, he said in a statement. — Special Correspondent
