Meet on free, open source software

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Information Technology Department plans to organise an international conference on free and open source software and free knowledge movements to explore the possibilities of applying the free software model to governance, development and culture. The conference, scheduled for December 9 to 11, will showcase various free and open source software applications and free content initiatives by government and non-governmental organisations from around the world, particularly the developing countries. – Special Correspondent
