Takes charge

KOCHI: Dr. P.G.R. Pillai, the first principal of the Co-operative Medical College, has taken charge as the Director of all the institutions concerned with the college like the College Hospital, Nursing College, Nursing School, Pharmacy and Dental College.
He had also been the first principal, director and managing director of the Pariyaram Medical College that was set up in 1993.
Earlier, he was the medical superintendent of the Kottayam Medical College and professor of surgery.
Dr. Pillai had also served as the Medical Education Director of M.G. University, Kottayam.
He was also the first Dean of Medical Faculty of the university.
