Sashidhar, Rahul score hundreds

HYDERABAD: Sashidhar Reddy (122) and Rahul Singh (141) helped Cal Public School defeat Silver Oaks School by a huge margin of 402 runs in the HCA inter-schools under-14 cricket tournament on Friday.

Cal PS 453 for four (Sashidhar Reddy 122, Rahul Singh 141, Rohit Reddy 64, Vinay Kumar 60 not out) bt Silver Oaks 51 (P. Vinay Kumar four for 24 Y. Sharvan Kumar six for 27).

Chirec PS 117 (Saif Ali Hussian 39, Varun 32 not out) bt Sacred Heart HS 74 (T. Nikhal four for 21, Yash Puri three for 15).

HPS ‘B’ 254 (Vishal 68, Vinay 58, Saif five for 30, Irfan four for 40) bt Spring Fields HS 72 (Balaji five for 21, Yudish three for zero).

St. Andrew’s ‘B’ 189 for five (Bhagath 68, Akarsh 58) bt St. Joseph’s, Habisguda 184 for eight (Abhirath 49, Ravindra 48).

Don Bosco HS 266 (Lokesh Agarwal 37, Saddam Hussain 36, Sisir 44) bt Sri Ramakrishna HS 66 (Suresh five for 24, Sai five for 24).

Mahabodhi Vidyalaya 126 (Adithya 38) bt Bhavans HS ‘A’ 115 (Abhilash three for 16, Shiva three for 11).

St. Andrew’s boys triumph

St. Andrew’s won the title in the boys’ category while St. Ann’s Grammar School, St. Ann’s HS and St. Andrews School were joint winners in the girls’ category in the Rev. Fr. Devasia Chess Tournament at St. Andrew’s High School, Bowenpally, here on Friday.
