UTF dig at MLC’s ‘doublespeak’

Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM: United Teachers’ Federation has taken a dig at G. Srinivasulu Naidu, MLC (Teacher) for his alleged doublespeak on the indefinite strike of JACTO. At a press conference on Friday, the federation secretary D. Ramu said that the MLC, at the preparatory meeting on indefinite strike at Masonic Temple on October 19, had asked teachers to continue strike till the government issued G. O. on their demands made after 2006. The MLC had even threatened to quit his post for their cause. But, now his support to withdrawal of strike was astonishing, he said.

On expulsion of UTF, DTF and TNUS from JACTO was a ploy of the Chief Minister to create rift among teachers’ unions, he said.
