Sai birthday fete to be a grand affair

PUTTAPARTHI: The 83rd birthday celebrations of Satya Saibaba will commence with ‘akhanda bhajana’ programme on November 8 and 9 and will conclude with the birthday of Saibaba here on November 23. Security arrangements for the event attended by Saibaba devotees from all over the world were underway.
Speaking at a review meeting here on Thursday, in-charge Collector T. Chiranjeevulu directed the departments concerned to ensure that no inconvenience was caused to the visiting devotees during the celebrations. He directed them to make all arrangements like provision of temporary stay facilities like tents and sheds, temporary toilets, drinking water facilities and round-the-clock sanitation.
The Puttaparthi and Enumulapalli gram panchayats have been told to employ additional workers during the celebrations.
