Grand Dharwad Zilla Utsav planned

DHARWAD: A grand procession of 40 tableaux will be taken out to mark the inauguration of Dharwad Zilla Utsav on November 21. Sixty folk troupes will perform during the procession.

A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the procession subcommittee presided over by the Deputy Commissioner and chairman of the organising committee of the utsav, Darpan Jain, here on Friday.

The meeting decided to include cultural troupes of schoolchildren, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers in the procession. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the arrangements being made in this regard by various educational institutions.
