Armed Police wins title

Chennai: Armed Police clinched the women’s title at the Vollys Club-Aircel State-ranking volleyball tournament here on Friday, beating SDAT 27-25, 25-20.

This was Armed Police’s third straight win, and SDAT’s third straight defeat, in the four-team round-robin event.

In the other women’s match played on Friday, Panimalar Engineering College sealed second place by beating Hindustan Sports Foundation 25-19, 27-25. — Sports Reporter
