Sekar scalps five

DINDIGUL: M. Sekar had figures of five for 17 as Seeni Bala CC defeated Majestic CC by three wickets in a Dindigul DCA first division league cricket match here.

The scores: First division: Majestic 98 in 30.3 overs (M. Sekar five for 17) lost to Seeni Bala 103 for seven in 26.4 overs.

Nike 242 for nine in 40 overs (Suresh 40, Jayakumar four for 44) lost to Mansur Youngsters 244 for nine in 44 overs (Azhagar 61, N. Senthil Kumar 50).

Third division: Jahir Promising XI 165 for two in 20 overs (S. Muthukumar 62, M. Mohan 47 not out) bt Skill 134 for four in 20 overs.

Champion 107 in 22.1 overs (Vijayalayan four for 28) lost to Dindigul Advocates 109 for two in 12.1 overs (Vijayalayan 41).

Bobby shines

Bobby’s all-round performance (65 not out and four for 39) was the highlight of Kombai CC’s 43-run win over Theni Medical College in a Theni DCA first division league cricket match in Theni.

The scores: First division: Kombai 159 in 45.3 overs (Bobby 65 not out) bt Theni Medical College 116 in 28.3 overs (Bobby four for 39).

Cosmo 192 in 30 overs (Bobby four for 36) bt Kombai 155 in 25.5 overs.

Second division: Aandipatti 176 for five in 30 overs bt Bodi Speed Boys 86 in 23.2 overs.

Theni 101 in 20 overs lost to Veerapandi Arts & Science College 102 for eight in 22.1 overs.
