Narendrapuram (East Godavari Dt.): Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, son of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has appealed to his fans to dissolve the ‘Jagan Yuva Sena’ and merge it with either the Youth Congress or any other Congress wing.

Addressing NSUI workers at Narendrapuram junction en route Kakinada, which is about 30 km from Rajahmundry, he said that a few of his friends launched the the ‘Yuva Sena’ without his knowledge. He felt it was unnecessary to continue the Sena and said it was high time the outfit was scrapped.

Mr. Reddy participated in a road show in Boorugupudi Assembly constituency where he unveiled the statue of his grandfather, Y.S. Raja Reddy.

He also inaugurated a blood donation camp, unveiled the statue of Rajiv Gandhi at Narendrapuram and addressed a largely attended meeting organised by the Youth Congress in Rajahmundry.

Local legislator Chitturi Ravindra swooned during the road show here. He, however, was resuscitated after first aid. A photographer of a Telugu daily fractured his hand when a policeman prevented him from getting on to the dais. He was shifted to a private hospital.

MLC Pulla Padmavati and her husband Pulla Bhaskar, president of Warangal city Congress, felicitated Mr. Jaganmohan with pearls.

Trenchant critic of Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Amalapuram Congress MP, G.V. Harsha Kumar, travelled in the same aircraft along with Mr. Jaganmohan to Rajahmundry. However, Mr. Kumar emerged out of the airport only after the cavalcade left. Minister Gollapalli Surya Rao, however, greeted Mr. Jaganmohan near the runway.
