200 CPI workers join Congress

Over 200 activists of the Communist Party of India (CPI), who were from Payakapuram area, on Sunday joined the Congress in the presence of local MP L. Rajagopal. The activists went to the MP’s office on Mahatma Gandhi Road and announced that they were joining the Congress. Mr. Rajagopal and city Mayor Mallika Begum welcomed the activists into the Congress party.
