Increased subsidy

ERODE: The Union and State Governments have increased their subsidy components for toilet construction under the Total Sanitation Programme, a release from the district administration stated. The Union Government will give Rs. 1,500 and the State Government, Rs. 700, to take the total subsidy to Rs. 2,200.

The release also asked people in rural areas to make use of the increased subsidy and construct toilets at the earliest.
