Priority for settling public grievances: Collector

THENI: Top priority will be given for settling public grievances and implementation of welfare schemes of the state and central governments, said Collector P. Muthuveeran.
Talking to reporters after assuming office in his chamber here on Monday, he said that all schemes should reach people in time. “We will make all efforts to take the schemes to the people.”
At present, development works were being executed properly. The work left by former collector S.J. Chiru wold be continued by me, he added.
“Necessary steps will be taken to execute development works without any slackness.”
A native of Karur, Mr. Muthuveeran, a post-graduate degree holder, had served as Municipal Commissioner for Namakkal, Athoor and Erode municipalities and for Tiruchi and Coimbatore corporations.
He also served as Regional Director for Municipal Administration.
Earlier, he served as the Sub-Collector of Pudukottai till November 9.
