Children’s Day celebrations

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Cancer Foundation (CCF) is organising “Kuzhanthaigal Kondattam 2008” for the children undergoing treatment for cancer at the G Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital. TV actor Suresh will perform magic-cum-comedy show for cancer patients. For details the counsellor could be contacted at 98940-92134. As part of the cancer awareness programmes, oncology quiz was conducted at Mani Higher Secondary School on November 7.

Lions District 324-B1 is organising a rally and conference on November 14 to generate awareness on the need for building peace by bridging generation gap.

A release from the organisers said that the rally would be taken out from VOC Park.
