Two-day police custody for Om Prakash

Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR: The Bukkaraya Samudram police produced M. Om Prakash, the alleged killer of Moddu Seenu, in the Judicial First Class Magistrate’s Court here on Monday evening.

The court allowed two-day police custody of the suspect but appointed an advocate commissioner, Narayanappa, in whose presence Om Prakash should be interrogated. The suspect pleaded in court to be sent to hospital for health check-up as he was suffering from blood pressure and diabetes.

When mediapersons asked Om Prakash outside the court hall whether he had killed Moddu Seenu and how he had done it, he shot back suggesting that they approach him in jail with the court’s permission.

Meanwhile, CBI officials investigating the Paritala Ravindra murder case visited the district jail and the general hospital on Monday to collect information.
