Ramakrishna, Soundarya excel

VISAKHAPATNAM: Khammam boys and Karimnagar girls won team titles in the Indian round competition of the 17th junior inter-district archery championships at the Andhra University ground here on Monday.

K. Ramakrishna of Khammam and Y. Soundarya of Karimnagar claimed top places in the boys and girls individual events respectively.

Host Visakhapatnam finished runner-up in boys and girls team standings.

The results: Indian round boys individual event: 1. K. Ramakrishna (Karimnagar, 575 out of 720 points), 2. K. Sandeep (Karimnagar, 557), M. Ranjit (Warangal, 536), 4. N. Venkata Rao (Visakhapatnam, 520). Girls: 1. Y. Soundarya (Nizamabad, 429), M. Ravali (Nzm, 416), L. Prasanna (Krishna, 374), 4. J. Manasa (Karimnagar, 284).

Team event: Boys: 1. Khammam (1,535), 2. Visakhapatnam (1527), 3. Rangareddy (1420). Girls: 1. Karimnagar (601), 2. Visakhapatnam (503).
