A test of skills in mathematics

KOCHI: It was a test to select the champion of champions in mathematics and students from various CBSE schools participated in the competition held on Sunday. A champion each was selected from each class from I to VI from a total of 4,500 students gathered to test their mathematical skills.

Organised by the Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System, the students displayed their speed at which they were able to solve different mathematic problems. Among the winners were Chndrakiran from Bhavan’s Mushi Vidhyalaya, Thiruvankulam and Paul P. Mathew from Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor for Class I. Kavya Krishna Bhavan’s Mushi Vidhyalaya became the champion for Class II; Varda R. from Bhavan’s Mushi Vidhyalaya was champion for Class III; Sanjay Sreekumar from BVM, Eroor became the champion for Class IV, Ram Ganesh from Chinmaya for Class V and Sanjay M. Santhosh from BVM, Girinagar won the champion’s spot for Class VI.

V.S. Raveendran of the National Institute of Open Schooling was the chief guest.
