Army recruitment rally begins

NAMAKKAL: The open recruitment rally organised by the army commenced at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (Namakkal South) here on Tuesday.

Candidates from Coimbatore, the Nilgiris, Erode, Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Madurai,

Theni, and Dindigul districts are attending in the rally.

The army is conducting the selection process to recruit candidates for Soldier Technical and Nursing Assistant, Soldier General Duty, Soldier General Duty (Non-Matric) and Tradesmen,

Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical posts. On the first day, tests for Soldier Technical and Nursing Assistant posts were held for candidates from these districts.

The army and the district administration have made elaborate arrangements for the conduct of the rally.

Drinking water supply provisions and other facilities were provided at the venue.

Adequate number of conservancy workers were also deputed to keep the venue neat and tidy.

A medical team is camping at the venue to provide treatment to the candidates, if they sustained injuries during the selection process.
