Mumbai FC, Dempo split points
MUMBAI: Mumbai Football Club had to remain satisfied with one point after a goalless draw with Dempo Sports Club in the ONGC I-League match at the Cooperage on Tuesday. The promoted Mumbai FC could have grabbed a victory had Abel Hammond been on target.
The striker first messed up a chance created by K. Kulothungan in the 55th minute via a through pass, then hit wide off the far post in the 72nd. James Dissiramah kept the Dempo strikers in check and despite a yellow card for a foul on Ranty Martins, walked away with the ‘man-of-the-match’ award. — Special Correspondent
