Staff Reporter

Chennai: The Hindu Newspaper In Education (NIE) Programme has launched an online quiz contest for students of its member schools to commemorate Children’s Day. It will be offered in association with Everonn’s education portal www.classontheweb.com.

The 30-minute quiz will test the logical, numerical and verbal skills and aptitudes of students. The contest will be available online for three days – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – when the student can access the contest using his or her login name and password. Students are required to register online by Thursday.

To participate, they would need a registration number that should be collected from their schools. Participants will be divided into three categories: Classes VI – VIII; IX and X; XI and XII. Results will be announced on the website on November 20. Cash prizes of Rs.10,000, Rs.4,000 and Rs.2,000 will be awarded. Ten consolation prizes would be given.
