THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Paramount Airways commenced flight services to Pune on Wednesday by launching daily flights from the Thiruvananthapuram international airport via Chennai.

An e-jet with a seating capacity of 75 took off from here to Chennai at 5.30 p.m. The flight will depart from Chennai at 8.40 p.m. to reach Pune at 10.10 p.m.

According to Managing Director of Paramount Airways Thiagarajan, the services from Thiruvananthapuram to Pune have been launched as part of the expansion strategy of the airline. The flight will be a convenient and comfortable option for those going to Pune.

“This will help us foray into the western region and we hope to replicate the success we have achieved in the southern market. Being a premium airline, we are certain that the airline will receive a huge franchise from these key markets,” he added.

According to assistant vice-president C.R. Kannan, the airline has also launched daily flights to Thiruvananthapuram from Ahmedabad and Goa providing connectivity to key markets in the western region. The flight from Ahmedabad will depart at 12.10 noon to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 5.10 p.m.

In the Goa sector, the flight will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 11 a.m. to reach Goa at 1.55 p.m. In the return direction, the flight will depart at 2.20 p.m. to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 5.10 p.m. The airline has deployed e-jets with facilities of luxurious seat recline, ample leg space and ethnic cuisine for the daily flights.
