Notice to Gujarat police in Batla case

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Gujarat police on two separate petitions by the families of two of the Batla House encounter accused — Zeeshan and Shakeel — seeking quashing of an order by a Metropolitan Magistrate here handing them over to the police on a transit remand.The Magistrate had allowed the Gujarat police to take them on a transit remand to investigate their alleged roles in the Ahmedabad serial blasts in July this year. Counsel for the petitioners submitted that the police had not told their clients the specific charges.
