Corrections and clarifications

A PTI report “Canadian police in Chandigarh for Kanishka probe” (November 12, 2008, page 1) said that the Air India flight was on the route “Toronto-Delhi”. The flight route was Toronto-Montreal-London-Delhi-Bombay. The aircraft was destroyed over the Atlantic Ocean near Ireland while it was on the Montreal-London segment.

In connection with the series of reports on the spacecraft Chandrayaan-1, a few readers have said that the details in our published reports and those issued by ISRO do not match. The Special Correspondent clarifies that ISRO is constantly changing its manoeuvres and strategies, which have been explained in detail in the “Science & Technology” pages, Frontline Magazine and in the October 23, 2008 issue of The Hindu.
